This is another favorite that I’ve been making for *YEARS*… So easy, so tasty, and everyone loves them! I love serving them at holiday parties and bringing them to friends as gifts. We made these for our Christmas party, and they did not disappoint! Enjoy!
Chocolate Cocoa Truffles
Adapted from Bon Appetit, Dec 1999
Makes 30 truffles
2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
12 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (use the best you can find)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Pour mixture into a medium bowl. Cover and chill until firm, about 3 hours.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet. Shape into smooth balls. Freeze until firm, about 45 minutes.
Place cocoa powder in a medium bowl. Roll truffles in powder, remove, shake off excess, and put into gift packaging (small candy boxes with individual cups work well).
Can refrigerate for up to two weeks.
